David Beckham was there as the ambassador for the England bid. He held the bid all pretty-like and visible. Then Becks presented the 3-Part Box Set to Sepp Blatter whilst posing like the injured stud that he is.
Carlos Bocanegra was representing the United States' bid, which was also presented in a lovely box-set.
The Dutch took a different, and much less traditional approach. Handbags.
So the bid must have been written on some scraps of paper and gum wrappers, I suppose.
