Emmanuel Adebayor won the Confederation of African Football's Player of the Year yesterday. The Arsenal and Togo striker had this to say about it:
"I'm highly honoured by what I have done in African football. Now that the World Cup is coming close and is in Africa, we'll work hard to win the championship."
Salomon Kalou, Chelsea and Ivory Coast winger, won the confederation's Young Player of the Year.
